Jane McDonell
Herbalist Healer Tai Chi Instructor &Lomi Lomi Massage
Jane is passionate about the potential for healing through Pranic Healing, Lomi Lomi Hawiian Massage and Tai Chi.
Jane first observed traditional Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage in a ‘Double Lomi Lomi’ (two therapists working with one client). She was inspired by the beauty of the flowing, loving massage, which at the time seemed like a ritual dance.
Even more impressive was the transformation she witnessed in the recipient. As a result Jane trained in the technique under teachers in Australia and Hawaii.
Jane sees both Pranic Healing and Lomi Lomi Massage as natural, sympathetic and non-invasive ways to help people address their particular emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Both techniques bring the body's energy into balance, allowing the body's innate healing response to activate. Her experience and training in massage and healing has enabled Jane to work extensively in aged care, providing her clients with therapeutic relief from pain, anxiety, depression, and enhancing circulation, sleep patterns and over-all well-being.
Jane continues to study and teach Tai Chi. She believes that the flowing rhythmic movements of this ancient ritual exercise are akin to a moving meditation; clearing the mind, relaxing and strengthening the body and connecting mind and body in a manner that provides profound relaxation and relief from stress.
Aromatherapy, herbal remedies, Tui Na (Chinese acupressure) and Bowen Therapy inform Jane's healing practise
